This project involved the study and installation of an external lift, along with the redesign of the surrounding area, due to extensive structural damage sustained by the building.
Lift with Structural Shaft
The installed model was AVIEK’s MULTILIFT SHAFT S, featuring a through-type cabin measuring 1×1.3 m, two BUS-type doors, and three semi-automatic landing doors in MOCCA color. The metal shaft was constructed in accordance with the designer’s specifications and clad with cement-bonded particle board, then covered with adhesive and thermal façade mesh.
Redesign surrounding Area
Due to significant settlement damage to the mezzanine balcony and the entrance stairs leading to the mezzanine level, the study determined it was necessary to demolish the damaged sections and reconfigure the mezzanine entrance and balcony. A unified concrete foundation was poured, including raft walls to support the stairs, balcony, and the lift shaft base slab. These were structurally tied into the balcony and stairway walls.The entire surrounding area was clad in Pentelic marble to maintain the building’s original aesthetic, while all façade damage was repaired (patching, plastering, removal of loose materials) in preparation for the final painting of the building’s front view.
